Resident Engineer - On-shore Wind

Essex£350 - £500 per day

We are looking for a Resident Engineer to work for this major developer and owner of renewable energy asset's. Working on a new on-shore wind development you will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager through the construction phase of the project.

The project requires the construction of a number of wind turbines, external transformers and switchgear, access track, on-site buildings and associated cabling etc.

Your role will be critical in the projects development and you will have authority on and off-site to oversee construction works to ensure quality, specification and most importantly health and safety at all times. As the representative on site you will be expected to ensure that the civil, electrical and turbine contractor's are adhering to the requirements of the signed contracts and that the general and technical specification for all contracts is being met for programme, quality and safety.

Typically you will liaise with all parts of the project, from the land owner, ecologists, consultants, contractors through to the general public to ensure that the project is progressed both prudently and in accordance with the clients contractual position

As the clients representative on site you will be the first point of contact across the construction and contractual elements for the project so a strong technical competence along with good communication skills will be necessary

The successful candidate could come from wither a civils or electrical background and preferably have previous wind farm experience
