Package Manager -Wind

Berkshire£30K - £60K per annum

My client requires a Deputy Package Manager to work within a leading generator of gas-fired, nuclear and renewable energy company at their Head Office in the Thames Valley.

The purpose of the role are to ensure the delivery of packages on time, on budget, to specification and to the satisfaction of key stakeholders No accidents, harm to personnel or damage to the environment No negative impact to the company's reputation

The company's business has so far undergone a significant transformation over the last two years, and is now a leading generator of gas-fired, nuclear and renewable energy.

The company have a significant stake in the largest fleet of nuclear power stations and have brought their pioneering approach to the operation of five wind farms, with more in construction and development in the Irish sea.

Candidates Duties

To provide support through the management of the contract ensuring delivery is on time, on budget and also to specification
·To provide support with the everyday point of contact with contractors allocated
·To support the everyday management of site activities, where the client is acting as the Principal Contractor
·To support the HSE at site in all cases
·To assist with the technical offers and specifications
·To offer support with the commercial offers
·To cross package integration by ensuring that engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and other key disciplines are adequately consulted.
·To Minimise claims and resolving those that do arise
·Client representation during design, fabrication, construction and commissioning
·Ensuring interfaces with other contracts are identified and managed which includes commercial, schedule and technical interfaces.
·Ensuring that key design documentation has the appropriate level of input from Engineering, Construction, Commissioning Operations & Maintenance and also HSEQ.


About you

·Technical/Educational: A degree in Engineering or a similar discipline.
·Experience: An understanding of project management tools and techniques. Have an experience of working in a package environment
·Relationship: Have strong communication skills & ability to work as part of a team package environment.
