Protection and Control Engineer

Croydon£45K - £60K per annum

Detailed knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas is essential:-

-Preparation of technical specifications and design verifications for electrical equipment such as:-
- Protective Relays
- Substation Control and Monitoring System
- Protection Relay Panels
- Control panels
- Protection Signalling Equipment
- Automatic Voltage Regulator Equipment
- Transformer Tap Changing Equipment
- Battery & Battery Chargers
- LVAC & LVDC panels
-Preparation of Key Line Diagrams
-Preparation of single line diagrams showing protection and metering
-Preparation of logic diagrams for closing and tripping of circuit breakers
-Preparation of protection panel schematics diagrams
-Preparation of control panel schematics diagrams
-Voltage selection diagrams
-Interlocking Diagrams
-Preparation of interface diagrams
-Preparation of cable schedules
-Preparation of termination schedules
-CT/VT Sizing calculations
-Protection relay setting calculations
-Battery Sizing calculations
-Interface and coordination between equipments
-Checking physical interfaces between equipments
-Technical bid evaluations
-Interfacing and co-ordination with other Disciplines
-Familiarisation with International Standards
-Use of Microsoft office packages within office environment would be useful


Qualifications
B.Sc. Electrical & Electronic Engineering or HNC/HND - TP141Authorisation preferred
