Senior Electrical Engineer

Principal Accountabilities:
To develop fully compliant suitable electrical design costings and delivery estimates to meet the requirements of the Invitation to tender scope
To fully manage the end to end tendering electrical designs process for their specified works
To ensure sufficient resources are identified during costing to meet delivery programme commitments
To positively influence design and construction safety performance and aims for zero accidents
To support the tendering management process with the Commercial Manager and ensure all electrical design estimates are processed on time
To review project based electrical design risk register monitoring and reporting on changes in commercial risk and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to eliminate or mitigate the risks
Project expert for electrical systems
Support of our UK development projects with electrical system / component knowledge. .
Co-ordination of all work package specific tasks, (external and internal).
·Collaboration with development department and key stakeholder relationships (partners, regulatory authorities)
Negotiate and proactive driving electrical solutions with suppliers
·Ensuring quality of the work package
Management of consultant subcontractors

Background / Experience:
Knowledge of:
· Switchgears GIS, AIS (LV, MV, HV)
· Transformers (dry, oil-, water cooled for LV, MV, HV)
· Protection systems
· Cables (LV, MV, HV, fibre optic, signal cable)
· Establishing detailed specifications for related electrical equipment and services Basic understanding of SCADA/HMI and Remote Control Systems
