EIA Consultant
London – £30K - £60K per annum
My client is a leading engineering and environmental consultancy that provides multi-disciplinary services to the property, infrastructure, energy and environmental markets. They are seeking a number of EIA Consultants in their various offices, which are located in the UK.
The Role:
The EIA consultants will be involved in working on a wide variety of high profile projects in the renewables, regeneration, residential and waste sectors. The project sectors that the company is currently active in include large-scale master plans, mixed use, leisure, retail and heritage-based redevelopments.
The scope of the role includes working across a range of service offerings, including ecology, master-planning developments, environmental management plans, SEA assessments and sustainability appraisals
Main Duties
·You will be involved in the Preparation and project management of Environmental Statements.
·Responsible for the co-ordination of a variety of EIA projects, which will include budget control.
·You will liaise with clients and develop relationships / Business development.
·Preparation of fee proposals and assistance with bids.
·Possess the ability to work autonomously with excellent communication skills, which include technical report writing.
·Have a specific technical specialism, ideally in air quality, flood risk or socio-economics
Essential Skills & Attributes
·An appropriate degree (membership of IEMA preferred)
·A minimum of 3 years' EIA experience
·A successful track record of EIA co-ordination / project management (including budget control)
·Be experienced in providing technical input into environmental projects or environmental aspects of larger projects
·Possess a thorough understanding of EIA, including best practice guidelines, planning processes, environmental assessment methods and case law
·Have an excellent report writing, communication and project management skills
·Excellent client liaison skills
·You should have the ability to work as part of a team, supervise / support more junior members of staff and deliver integrated services
·Have a full UK driving license.
