Our client is a growing exciting, dynamic and collaborative multidisciplinary construction consultancy with offices in London and the UK.
The practice recently had five projects nominated for 9 awards in the 2011 Inside Housing Sustainability Awards.

They are currently looking to recruit a Sustainability Engineer to undertake and manage environmental assessments (Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM) and energy (i.e. SAP, SBEM) assessments on new and existing buildings.

. Candidates will be able to use SAP and SBEM as base tools for developing energy strategies on development projects.
Candidates should also have good knowledge of building design, construction and knowledge of legislation and policy of sustainability. Candidates also coming from an M&E background would have an advantage as the consultancies are ideally looking to bridge the gap between their environmental and M&E team.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Sustainability Consultant who can carry out sustainability and energy assessments on new and existing buildings. Primary Roles will include:
·Undertaking and managing environmental assessments (Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM and LEED).
·Developing energy strategies on development projects using SAP and SBEM as base tools.

BACKGROUND:
The successful applicant will be:
·Educated to degree level in a suitable scientific, engineering or other discipline
·A Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor Essential
·A SAP and SBEM assessor Essential
·BREEAM qualified is desirable but not essential.
·Familiar with IES
·A Member of CIBSE/IEMA/EI or working towards membership.
